The MIC Business Network
Local business owners who meet, refer work to each other, and learn together. Run by the Maroondah Indian Community, and open to any business in Maroondah and around it, whoever owns it.
How it works
We meet monthly, in person, on a weekend afternoon. Each meet-up opens with a quick introduction round so new faces are known, then one or two businesses take the floor properly to explain what they specialise in and how they work. That depth is what makes referrals possible: you cannot refer a business you cannot describe.
Between meetings, the work happens in the WhatsApp group and in the directory. Members post what they need, and the directory listings carry the detail so meeting time is not spent repeating it.
What members do for each other
- Referrals
Pass work to another member when it fits. This is the point of the network.
- Google reviews
Time is set aside at each meet-up for members to review each other on the spot.
- Backlinks
Members link to each other's sites, which lifts everyone's search visibility.
- Introductions
Members offer mentoring, internships, and connections into their own industries.
